TMNT - Leonardo

My sister wanted me to try and draw Leonardo from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I can't -DRAW- per say, but I'm more of a 'Eye-To-Hand' drawer. I was drawing an already drawn out image of Leonardo onto her sketch book.

I don't have a scanner but I do have a webcam so I took a snap shot of Leo.

Why does he look a little malformed in the middle? My eyes view one thing, my hand says another. So I had to erase a few times to get it right.
